Logistic coordinator

As a logistics coordinator, you are the link between our customers and the carriers. From the point at which the customer places his orders, you match these with the correct carrier. If the usual carrier can't help, you look for an alternative! 'No' isn't an option, because we work within the liquid foodstuff industry.

Your role is that of an operational planner, but differs slightly in that you do not manage drivers, but you are the link between the customer and our database of carriers. You are responsible from the first to the last mile: for a single order placed by a customer, you may sometimes have to plan several different carriers and connect them to one another.
You are responsible for the correct delivery of the right requirements to the carrier. Such as where and when loading and unloading must take place and what requirements are laid down in relation to the tank container. You monitor the progress of your shipments: when there is a risk of things going wrong, you take action! If a carrier is late, potentially causing production downtime at the destination, you resolve this! If a carrier or customer claims additional expenses, you deal with the customer or carrier to resolve this!

Who are you?

To be successful in this position you have to love dynamism and a fast-paced environment! You constantly switch between different parties. You know how to keep a cool head, with an eye on the big picture. You have good communication skills, enabling you to quickly establish a relationship with your own customer portfolio and carriers.

• You are interested in the world of logistics and preferably have some experience as a planner, working at HBO (higher professional education) level;
• You have topographical knowledge and you speak at least Dutch and English. Additional languages are an advantage;
• You have the courage to make decisions, both at operational and tactical level;
• You have good communication skills, enabling you to easily switch between the different parties;
